About Harestock

Harestock started in 2008 — Ben Morris & The Great American Boxcar Chorus decided to host a day of music and friends. What started as a modest endeavor quickly turned into an exciting event.

Fast-forward to present days and you will see that Harestock has quickly grown into one of Texas’ most rapidly-growing and anticipated festivals. Over 100 artists have graced the Harestock stages and every new year promises exciting additions from the year before!

In 2009, Harestock changed formats and was billed as a charity benefit. Harestock is a 100%, non-profit event. Since 2009, over $20,000.00 have been donated to very deserving causes including Ready For Texas Relief Fund, Twin City Mission-Youth & Family Services, BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse), Texas Tunes For Troops, God’s Little Creatures Animal Rescue, Brazos County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and The Great American Boxcar Charity. Also, in 2010, Harestock introduced a coat, blanket, and canned food drive to be donated to local shelters and food banks. These drives were a huge success that have become a continuing fixture for each Harestock!

The goals of Harestock are simple:

  • To raise as much money as possible for very deserving causes
  • To promote amazing talent and original music
  • To bring awareness to under-recognized situations and organizations that can help in our community and region
